The church is beautiful and becoming very popular for weddings. A 15/20 min walk takes you around the village, through Fairy Glen and across the foot bridge over the river Kennet, along the road past many interesting properties including Chilton Cottage, reputed to be the oldest dwelling in Wiltshire, and back again! Look out for deer, foxes, frogs, birds of prey, pheasants, ducks, swans, geese, coots etc you never know what you may see along the way! And there are plenty of public footpaths through fields to choose from.

The Wheatsheaf Pub is only three doors away, offering a wide traditional pub menu deliciously home cooked, real ales and true village hospitality.

Walk to the beautiful Tudor Mansion of Littlecote, within its grounds are Roman ruins, of particular interest the mosaic, also the unique Leverton Cottages (spot the old stocks), are worth a walk! Enjoy longer excursions, carry on past the roman mosaic to the lovely village of Ramsbury, with its churches, pubs, post office and a few shops.

Hungerford with all its shops, pubs, cafes is a walk away as well. Visit the Kennet and Avon Canal and arrange a trip in a barge. Or maybe you would like to walk along the canal to Kintbury and have lunch at the Dundas Arms, whilst sitting by the canal watching the boats go by?

Wilton Windmill and the Crofton Beam Engines are only 8 miles away through idyllic countryside and pretty villages.

Lambourn famed for Race horse training is 6 miles away.
